Surgical Services

The doctors here at Georgetown Veterinary Hospital are highly skilled at performing a variety of soft-tissue surgeries. Prior to going under anesthesia, all pets will have blood work done to ensure healthy organ function and detect any underlying illness that could prevent them from recovering from the procedure. We have state-of-the-art equipment that monitors the patient’s heart rate, oxygen level, temperature, blood pressure and administers fluids. Pain management is a priority so your pet will receive medication before and after the surgery to ensure optimal comfort.

Some of the surgeries we perform here include, but aren’t limited to:
• Ovariohysterectomy (Spay)
• Castration (Neuter)
• Mass Removal
• Enucleation
• Bowel Obstruction Removal
• Pyometra Removal
