Hospital Technician

Responsibilities 

  • Assisting doctors with patient restraint.  
  • Vaccine Administration. 
  • Blood, Urine, and Fecal Collection. 
  • IV Catheter Placement. 
  • Anesthesia Monitoring.  
  • Assisting doctors with soft tissue surgeries and dental procedures. 
  • Post-Surgical recovery and monitoring. 
  • Administering and monitoring medications, fluids, and testing for hospitalized patients.  
  • Rooming patients and gathering pertinent medical histories. 
  • Client education. 
  • Care and overall compassionate service. 
  • Maintaining cleanliness of surgical and dental suites, exam rooms and treatment areas.  

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 
  • Previous veterinary experience is required. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Avimark veterinary software is preferred. 
  • Able to type 35 wpm minimum. 
  • Strong phone skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English. 
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Punctual with strong attendance history. 
  • Wonderful customer service skills. 
  • Able to maintain professionalism at all times.
